提出了一种新型的基于光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)反射带宽和反射光功率测量的加速度计,其是将单根FBG斜向粘贴在矩形简支梁侧面构成的,通过在简支梁中间粘贴重物感应竖直方向的加速度,通过梁的弯曲改变FBG反射带宽和反射光功率。实验结果表明:FBG的反射带宽具有很好的线性响应,其测量范围可达到8g,因带宽展宽造成FBG的反射率降低,因此反射光功率的线性响应范围只有4g;带宽和功率灵敏度分别为0.4nm/g和4.57μW/g;由于温度仅改变FBG的布拉格波长,而对其反射带宽和光功率几乎没有影响,所以加速度计对温度变化不敏感。
An accelerometer based on the measurement of spectral bandwidth and power of the reflected optical signal from a strain-chirped fiber Bragg grating(FBG) is presented.The FBG is glued in a slanted direction onto the lateral surface of a simply-supported beam around the center.The bandwidth and optical power change with the applied vertical acceleration through beam bending caused by weights which are fixed in the middle of the beam.Experimental results show that bandwidth of the FBG responds to acceleration linearly within a large range up to 8 g, but the reflected optical power succeeds only below 4 g due to the decay in reflectivity when the bandwidth of the FBG is broadened significantly.The achieved sensitivities are 0.4 nm/g and 4.57 μW/g for bandwidth and optical power measurements, respectively.The accelerometer is temperature-independent because the temperature only changes the central Bragg wavelength of the FBG,but not the reflective bandwidth on the optical power.
