Abstract. The decision maker＇s risk preference has important influence on decision making problems. Hence, a parameter which reflects the decision maker＇s risk preference is introduced in this paper. In order to rank the intuitionistic fuzzy numbers, a new score function with the risk preference is defined based on the degrees of membership, non-membership and hesitancy of the intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. Then, combining with the intuitionistic fuzzy weighted average operator, we propose a multi-attribute decision making method under the intuitionistic fuzzy environment. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the new method.
