The comparative study on the diameter,number,volume,height and decay class distribution of coarse woody debris（CWD） at different elevations in Tianbaoyan national nature reserve was conducted.The results were as follows：（1） Tsuga longibracteata forest was mainly composed of small-diameter-class CWD at different elevations,the number and volume of CWD decreased with the increase of diameter;（2） the elevation significantly affected the number of fallen trees（df=2,P=0.006）,the number of fallen trees decreased with the increase of the elevation,while the snags,amount increased with the increase of the elevation;（3） CWD was mainly distributed in 0-5 m,and the number increased with the decrease of elevation;（4） the decay class significantly affected the number of CWD（df=4,P=0.033）.
