Chronic iliac vein occlusion is the segment of deep venous occlusive lesions. It has high morbidity, and can lead to disuse venous claudication, severe swelling and ulceration of disability. Conservative treatment is not ideal. It is essential to select reasonable surgical option, in order to establish venous outflow tract for optimal clinical results. Now we summarize surgery for chronic iliac vein occlusion following the latest developments and related issues.
