Viral myocarditis （VMC） caused by exogenous febrile is called epidemic febrile disease palpitation. This article mainly summarized the basic theory of VMC differentiation by school of epidemic febrile diseases; also pointed out that other pathogens turning into fire pathogen was the key transition point of VMC process, the basic pathogenesis of epidemic febrile disease palpitation was febrile invading and affecting heart, which hurt both heart and its function, And syndrome differentiation system of superficies and interior, sanjiao theory, weifen, qifen, yingfen, and xuefen, and channel theory were effective. The article emphasized that VMC differentiation should pay attention to febrile pathogenesis and cocurrent pathogen. With precise aiming,VMC treatment should focus on removing pathogen while nurturing yin. Therefore, originated from but not limited to heart, flexible treatment of heart through recuperation of other organs will be more effective.
