为克服IEEE802.11b无线网卡在PM工作模式下,当无线网络流量负载较重时不能显著降低能耗的缺点,文中提出一种基于无线网卡动态关闭的自适应节能算法.对于该算法中无线网卡关闭切换时间的确定,采用了基于GM(1,1)的灰色预测模型对无线网卡的设备状态空闲时间进行预测,仿真结果表明了该方法具有对样本数量要求少,计算量小,能自适应调整预测参数,实时性强的优点.
A self-adaptive scheduling algorithm is presented based on the WNIC(Wireless Network Interface Card)'s dynamic switch-off for power saving, which avoids the limitation that the 802.11b PM mode may not serve to reduce energy consumption efficiently in heavy traffic conditions. In order to decide the WNIC's switch-off time, the idle period of WNIC is predicted by means of the grey model G (1,1). The simulation result shows this prediction method has advantages of reguiring small quantity of sampled data, low computational complexity and being real-time.
