According to a survey of 167 postgraduates majoring in GIS conducted through questionnaires and from the perspective of students, the present authors analyze the results in terms of campus life, understanding of the higher education of GIS and of the requirement of necessary professional qualities, employment options of the future, and judgment of employment conditions, and revealing some common problems in postgraduate education, providing a new perspective for the evaluation of GIS education system, and shedding light on effective GIS teaching and students＇ pursuing their master＇s degrees and job - hunting.
