Assumed that the shortage is permitted and the lead time can influence on both the customer and the manufacturer, the paper establishes the supply inventory cost model. It is proved that the model has the optimum order quantity, the optimum shortage and the optimum order times. Finally, the relationship between these three optimum parameters is discussed by the numerical analysis method.
