This paper introduces some related knowledge of semantic web, and in the light of the problem that the information retrieval efficiency of digital library is lower and based on digital library’s existing information retrieval model, designs a new information retrieval model of digital library, and discusses in detail three important modules of this model and their functions. By using the technologies of semantic web, this model solves the problem that the traditional information retrieval based on keyword can only make analysis from sentence structure and can’t make retrieval based on the perform the information retrieval and inference based on the semantic relation in information resources.
