英文摘要：

With an increasing diversity of social life in the period of transition , there is an unprecedented challenge confronting Chinese traditional social integration, so that it is necessary to foster a new system of social integration. Because of the advantages in the grouping form and values orientation, the non-governmental organizations are able to play a unique role in the achievements of social integration, such as the social interests integration by promoting interest balance and coordination between various social subjects, the social systematic integration by constituting organizations to regularize the society, the social values integration by carrying forward the values based on fairness and justice, the social structure integration by forming a social structure with an benign interaction between the political state and the civil society, etc. It is suggested that in order to bring the integrating function into a full play, the non-governmental organizations should upgrade the autonomy construction, enhance the self management, and improve the administrative system of the organization. Besides, the government should perfect the legal system to build up a good institutional environment for the development of the non-government organization.
