Hypoxia-inducible factor-1 （ HIF-1 ） is a kind of heterodimer transcription factor composed of subunit β and subunit α. Its expression products take part in many physiological processes. More and more studies suggested that HIF-1 plays important roles in virus infections. The activity changes of HIF-1 in human virus infections along with its roles in the infection were summarized in this paper through searching related references.
