A multi-mode data disaster-tolerance model is presented for information systems based on Logical Volume Manager （LVM） on Linux. Its architecture and work flow is introduced at first. Snapshot backup, continuous data protection and remote data replication are three main disaster-tolerance modes in this model, and their principles and key technologies are discussed in detail.
