Power system load dispatch is one of the important research topics in power system energy saving and operation optimization.The fundamental power system load dispatch optimization models are investigated,and the most popular optimization techniques on this issue are summarized in this paper.Future research trends have been proposed after the discussion of merits and drawbacks in current studies.
