In this article, theoretical studies of protein folding mechanism in recent years are summarized. Firstly, the development of protein folding theory is retrospected,and then we introduce the studying status of folding intermediate.Simultaneity, we detailedly review several theoretical models and simulating algorithms and analyze their status and problem existing. Finally, we sum up and discuss the problem existing and studying hotspots of the theoretical studies of protein folding mechanism, and the studying trend in this field is prospected.
