The adhesive ability was tested for usual textile sizes as starch, PVA 1799, acrylic size and water - soluble polyester, by roving sizing method. It was found based on experimental data analysis that the strength of fiber in the roving has an important effect on the adhesiveness with this method. In the paper, the factors of the roving strength, the size film strength and the fiber strength influencing the adhesiveness in the roving method were all discussed and compared each other.
