英文摘要：

A new method of paper-sizing was developed to make up for the deficiency of the traditional size film-forming method for measuring meaehanical properties of sizes. Comparing experiments of the two methods were carried out, using acid-modified cassava starch with varying acid hydroly- sis degree as a research object. The results showed that the paper-sizing method has better characters with rapidity, repeatability and wide adaptability. It can be used for mechanical property testing of a warp size as a supplement to the size film-forming method.
