Many kinds of cells, cytokines, mediators of inflammation participate in the process of airway hyperreactivity, chronic inflammation, remodeling of asthma through many signal pathways, TGF-β/ Smad signal pathway is one of the most hot signal pathways in studying at present. This article mainly introduces TGF-β superfamily,Smad proteinnum family, TGF-β/Smad signal pathway, the role of I-Smad in TGF-β/Smad signal pathway and airway remodeling of asthma.
