With a short review about the research of strategic alliance from social network perspective, this paper proposes some concepts of ＂structural characteristics＂, ＂resource properties＂ and ＂performance＂ from the perspective of variable se-lection based on a summary and analysis of previous studies. It builds a model of main research problems about strategic alli-ance and reveals a new thought on strategic alliance research named ＂network property thought＂ from social network per-spective. At last, there is a classified overview for strategic alliance research with the thought.
