By choosing four physics courses such as mechanics,electromagnetism,optics and quantum physics from Chinese and American major MOOC platforms,we make a comparison between Chinese and American physics MOOC courses as to teaching contents, teaching resources, teaching methods, interactive communication, credit management, video features and team support, then the difference has been found. China should maintain present advantages under the national policy of encouragement and support, innovate in teaching method, improve teaching level of Chinese physics MOOC courses,and create new teaching mode with Chinese characteristics.
