A novel class of similarity measure, named monotonic similarity measure, is defined. Furthermore, the properties of monotonic similarity measure and its relationship with fuzzy entropy and inclusion measure are investigated. As a result, the methods for constructing monotonic similarity measure using fuzzy entropy and inclusion measure, and the methods for obtaining fuzzy entropy and inclusion measure using monotonic similarity measure are provided.
