In 2011, the Archaeology Department of Zhengzhou University discovered a city-site of Zhou dynasty west to the Guanzhuang village, Gaoeun township, Xingyang city, Henan Province. In 2013, an excavation was conducted in the northwest section in the big enclosure of this city-site covering a 600 m2 area. During this excavation, a large number of remains date to the period from the late western Zhou dynasty to the middle of the warring states period were revealed including, especially important, lots of storage pits. Thus, it could be suspected that the storage area of this city may be unearthed. All these findings could increase our understandings on the layout of this city-site, the entire archaeological knowledge in this region, and the management strategies in the region carried out by the Zhen State and the Han State.
