This paper reviews the status of modern study on multiple sclerosis treating by Chinese medicine of kidney-reinforcing. According to the traditional Chinese medicine theory, the core pathogenesis of MS is kidney deficiency. It has good effects on treating MS by Chinese medicine of kidney-reinforcing in clinical studies. The mechanism based on the experimental results was analyzed. The advantages and disadvantages of Chinese medicine of kidney-reinforcing treating MS were summarized. It provides some researches ideas for MS.
