This paper took the modem agriculture construction in Wuxi as its object, through modem agriculture index calculation, and obtained the modern agricultural contribution rate was 58.52. Which have a large deficiency in ensuring the food security, protecting the environment and boosting the agriculture profits and so on. According to Wuxi＇s natural, social and economic conditions and its current development of modem agriculture, this paper proposed the promotion mechanism of modem agriculture with Chinese characteristics, which are perfect and strengthen cultivated land protection, promoting agriculture profits, making the peasants become rich, protecting environment and improving social harmony.
