Design the thread milling tool of cutting API standard rounded threads of 316 stainless steel on the tool material ,coating and structure. Analyzed and summarized the variation of cutting temperature ,force and power when milling with different cutting speed and feed on the software of Advantedge FEM. Supply theoretical basis for the optimization of tool design and select rational cutting parameters.
