Epoxy resin was modified with PEG、maleic anhydride and coupling agent KH-550 simultaneously, which made the preparation process of waterborne resin efficient and simple, and we got a novel epoxy resin which possess both hydrophilic and coupling performance without neutralization process.The additive amount of coupling agent was studied for the performance of waterborne epoxy resin coatings and the results showed that the novel waterborne epoxy resin coating provides excellent performance.
