针对传统Gray映射在中高信噪比区域内对系统性能改善有限,通过调整比特位置分配,基于互信息分析提出一种新颖的16QAM星座映射方案,该方案提高了映射比特位的不等保护度。并根据互信息设计准则,仿真分析了不同调制映射方案下BICM—ID系统的调制受限信道容量,仿真分析表明:在中高信噪比下,新映射方案较传统Gray映射方案在信道容量上的提高最高可达2.38bit/channel。
Considering the traditional Gray mapping achieves limited performance at medium-to-high SNR region, in order to optimize the performance at mid-high SNR region for BICM-ID system, a new scheme of constellation mapping of 16QAM was proposed by redistributing bit position. This novel mapping manages to raise the unequal degree of protection. Finally, experiments based on the criterion of mutual information analysis are performed. Through analysis and comparisons with several previous constellation mapping schemes in terms of channel capacity in BICM-ID system, simulation results reveal that the novel mappings outperform the Gray mapping scheme in the aspect of channel capacity which indicates about 2.38 bit/channel at medium-to-high SNR region.
