Several possible methods of online-test cheating are discussed. The method based on Internet communication is easier to be handled by means of setting up a test gateway, filtering up the data packets flowing through the gateway, only the data packets among the test servers on the Internet being allowed while all the other data packets being forbidden. It is more difficult to deal with online-test cheating based on LAN communication. The approach to monitor and control cheating in LAN is emphasized. A monitoring server is used in the LAN to monitor the data packets in the LAN and the data packets are analyzed. The link can be cut off once invalid data packets are found, so the monitoring function of online-test is achieved.
