In the paper,we study an M/M/1 queue with successive two kinds of vacation.The queue model can be analyzed by QBD process and matrix-analytic method.For the model,we first derive the analytic expression of the stationary queue length.Then the obtained results enable us to give the stochastic decomposition structures of the stationary queue length and sojourn time.
