This study was aimed to evaluate the anesthetic effect of the specificity anesthetic for deer on sika deer.Six adult si-ka deer were anesthetized intramuscularly with the specificity anesthetic for deer at a dose of 0.04 m L/kg body weight.Clinical an-esthetic effects of deer were observed during the process of general anesthesia. The results showed that all sika deer were into theanesthesia at 6.1±0.45 min after injection,and anesthesia could maintain 91.67±2.25 min,and wake-up time was 33±2.0 min.Thesedative,analgesic and muscular relaxing effects were good in the process of general anesthesia.The results indicate that the speci-ficity anesthetic for deer has good anesthetic effects on sika deer.
