To contrast the effect of chicken blastodermal cells on X period respectively by scattered culture and the whole embryo culture,the chicken blastodermal cells on X period were separated cultured with two methods. The growth of cells was observed carefully. The rate of positive clones was calculated by ceils subcuhured and identified with AKP staining. The growth of separated cultured cells were in good condition and the whole embryo cultured cells showed weaker adherent ability and were easier to be differentiated. There was significant difference between the two cultural methods. The result of chicken blastodermal ceils on X period cultured by scattered culture was better.
