Based on the data of CSSCI database from 2002 to 2006, the authors choose six fields (Literature, History, Philosophy, Law, Economy, Library and Information and Documentation) and calculate both scholars' traditional bibliometrie indicators ( papers, citations and citations per paper) and their h-indices. The results show that the Spearman eorrelations are largest between citations and h-indices. The estimating values on GI? nzel-Sehubert formula are closer to true h-indices in the fields of literature and history, while other values of h-indices fall between Hirseh formula and Egghe-Rousseau formula. And the Pearson correlation between Hirseh computing values and true h-indices looks better in humanities and social sciences.
