Gasification reaction tests with CO2 are carried out for coke of three grain sizes, and corresponding gasification reaction characteristic data are obtained. The tests show that the gasification reaction characteristic data of coke breeze less than 0. 074mm are not related with CRI, so it can be used to evaluate the chemical reactivity of coke matrix only, and cannot be used to evaluate the gasification reaction characteristic of coke; the gasification reaction characteristic data of 3 - 6mm coke are related with CRI, so it can be used as the index for evaluating the gasification reaction characteristic of coke.
