为提高宽带卫星ATM(asynchronous transfermode)通信系统的星上缓存资源的利用率,针对非实时数据业务,提出了一种跨层星上缓存管理策略——错误分组早丢弃EPED(erroneous packet early drop)。该策略把由信道引起的错误信元及其所属的同一协议数据单元的无效信元丢弃。通过系统仿真,结果表明EPED具有优化缓存管理、提高星上交换机Goodput性能等作用,而且信元错误率和协议数据单元的长度越大,EPED对Goodput性能的改善就越明显。
In order to improve the utilization of on-board buffer resources in broadband satellite systerm with on -board ATM (asynchronous transfer mode) switching, a cross-layer on-board buffer management strategy, EPED (erroneous packet early drop), which concerns non-real-time data services, was suggested. The strategy discards erroneous cells caused by satellite channel and the other cells that belong to the same protocol data unit. The simulation results showthat ECTD would opti-mize buffermanagement and improve goodput. And the larger the cell error ratio and the PDU length, the greater the increment of goodput.
