To enhance the utilization efficiency of resources and the development quality in pig industry with knowledge intensive characteristics under a new state of economy, the author investigates the format characteristics in view of the current pig business coexisted with individuals, the higher national pork prices than international pork prices, pork quality which is subject to more questioning, and puts forward some meas- ures including through strengthening the contract consciousness, clarifying the scope of application, completing the development mechanism, perfecting supervision assessment, focusing on policy support measures, and so on. These measures can effectively promote the healthy and sustainable development of enterprise and the upgrading of pig industry, and achieve the industry development goals including protecting people＇s livelihood, ensuring supply, and protecting ecology, so as to realize the maximum benefit of pig breeding.
