The paper is concerned about our analysis and discussion of the pore structure and elemental composition of the sediments with seven different sizes collected from the landscape water-bodies in Beijing Yuyuantan Park. The results of our analysis show that such sediments possess smaller specific surface areas and less-developed pore structures. The volumes of such macropores usually are in the range of 0.68 cm^3/g and 1.03 cm^3/g, while those of mesopores and micropores are approximately from 0.028 cm^3/g to 0.031 cm^3/g. Through mercury perosimetry, the maximum value of their specific surface areas can be observed in the sediments with sieving diameter of 150 μm which are actually larger than those in sediments with sieving diameter of 300 μm if measured by N2 adsorption-desorption method. Moreover, both sediments with sieving diameter of 160 μm and 200 μm prove to have largest number of macro-pores, which can be shown in the sediments with sieving diameter of 61 μm and 300 μm. In the light of organic components of sediments, it is found that there exist highly valuable TOC, LOI and DOC in the sediments with their average diameters from 55.8μm to 28.95 μm than in the others. However, such sediments were found to exist the lowest content of Fe and Al, though much higher content of Cu, Zn, Ni, and Co with the average diameter of 114.65 μm than in other sediments. As to the nutritious elements, it was found that they contain least TN and average diameter of TP, that is, 26.90 μm in the sediments. Besides, canonical correlation analysis results demonstrated that linear correlation was observed between the metal content of Al, Cu, Zn, Ni, Co and size, Fe and Al, TOC and LOI, TOC and TN in average content of particle in these sediment particles. And the corresponding coefficients of the above linear correlations were - 0. 842, 0.857, 0.878, 0.94, 0.961, 0.931, 0.832 and 0.875 respectively.
