A new and mild method of ring-opening of cyclic ether to double ester was reported.2-（2-Acetoxyethyl） benzyl acetate was synthesized by ring-opening reaction of isochroman using phosphorus pentoxide as the catalyst and dichloromethane as the solvent at 37 ℃ for 10 h.The structure was confirmed by1^ H NMR,13 ^C NMR and HR-ESI-MS.
