This paper reviews previous research on the interaction of people and the built environment in the fields of architecture,architectural phenomenology,environmental psychology,building physics,among other disciplines,and enunciates the ways of human perception of the built environment and the impact of the built environment on human behavior.It concludes with the application of the relation between the two in contemporary architectural design.
