Thyroid hormone receptor interacting protein 15(TRIP15) is a transcriptional co-repressor for selected nuclear receptor family and constitutes COP9 signalosome complex which involves in protein degradation. It also interacts with a number of molecules involved in transcription control, cell cycle modulation and DNA repair. These functional studies have revealed that TRIP15 engages in the vital cellular process such as proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis, thus associates with neoplasms, lipid metabolism disorders, endocrine disorders and so on. Though the function of TRIP15 is largely unknown, its complicated protein interacting network and multifunctional potentials may present a new target for medical intervention.
