In responses to DNA damage,GADD45α interacts with a number of molecules and plays an important role in the regulation of DNA repair,cell cycle,cell proliferation,and apoptosis,the effects of which are closed related to the development of cancer,cardiovascular diseases and other diseases.Elucidation on these functions and mechanisms of GADD45α will be helpful for understanding the pathogenesis and establishing novel diagnostic and therapeutic targets.
