A fine die quotation method was put forward based on the features of automo- bile panels. The core idea of the method was divided the parts into several feature areas, which corresponded to a processing die component. The cost of each component was deter- mined by its size, while the size was related to the size of the parts＇ feature. So the die price of the whole manufacturing process was specialized in each components and each fea- ture, so as to realize the refinement of die price estimation process. It solved the problem of sketchy and insufficient accuracy of other quotation methods and would be used for ac- curate estimation of automobile panel die cost in the whole manufacturing process.
