This paper presented a general description about the principle, advantages and development of virtual endoscopy technique, analyzed a couple of key problems existent in virtual endoscopy technique in detail, such as path planning, real-time rendering and navigation. Finally, summarized the characteristics and tendency about the research on virtual endoscopy technique.
