英文摘要：

OBJECTIVE： Whether or not protecting gastric mucosa by acupuncture and moxibustion is related with the induction of heat shock protein was discussed in various ways. DATA SOURCES： A computer-based online search of Medline database and Emase was undertaken to identify articles about acupuncture and moxibustion, protection of gastric mucosa and heat shock protein published in English from January 1985 to December 2004 by using the keywords of ＂acupuncture, moxibustion, gastric mucosa protection, heat shock proteins＂. Meanwhile, Chinese articles about acupuncture and moxibustion, protection of gastric rnucosa and heat shock protein published between January 1993 and December 2004 were searched in CBM, CBMdisc systems and Wanfang database, the keywords were ＂acupuncture, moxibustion, gastric mucosa protection, heat shock proteins＂ in Chinese. STUDY SELECTION： The literatures indicating the internal relationship among acupuncture and moxibustion, gastric mucosa＇s protection and heat shock proteins were chosen. Then the remainder was searched further to confirm whether indicating the above relationship. Inclusive criteria： （1） Heat shock proteins had the effects in protecting gastric mucosa. （2） Acupuncture and moxibustion therapy could induce heat shock proteins. （3） Acupuncture and moxibustion therapy had the effects in protecting gastric mucosa both in experiment and clinic. （4） The clinic observations and experiments accorded with random principle. Exclusive criteria： The literatures did not accord with random and parallel comparison principle obviously. DATA EXTRACTION： Fifty-seven literatures about acupuncture and moxibustion, protection of gastric mucosa and heat shock proteins in clinic and experiment were obtained, and 17 of them accorded with the inclusive criteria.
