嗅觉系统在蚊虫寻找食物、配偶、产卵、栖息地、趋避及信息传递等方面具有至关重要的作用。目前研究的蚊虫嗅觉系统主要包括嗅觉受体(olfactory receptors,ORs)、嗅觉结合蛋白(odorant-binding proteins,OBPs)以及相关的嗅觉神经元(olfactory receptor neuron)。这些ORs分为两类:一类是传统的配体型嗅觉受体(odorant receptors,ORx),另外一类是嗅觉受体共表达受体(odorant receptor co-receptor)简称Orco。研究Orco在昆虫嗅觉识别中的功能及作用机制,可为以Orco为靶标的新的害虫防治措施奠定理论基础。
The olfactory system plays an important role in the food and spouse search,habitat selection,avoidance of attacks and information transmission for mosquito.At present,the mosquito olfactory system includes the olfactory receptor(olfactory,receptors,ORs),odorant binding protein(odorant-binding proteins,OBPs)and olfactory neurons.The ORs can be identified for two categories:one is the body with the traditional olfactory receptor(odorant,receptors,ORx),the other is the receptor coexpressed with traditional olfactory receptors(odorant receptor co-receptor,Orco).It may provide a theoretical evidence for developing a new pest control measures that investigate the functional mechanism of Orco in insect olfaction recognition.
