Study the complex network of TCM functionalities, including its multi-components, multi-targets, and muhi-links, is important for understanding the substances and mechanisms of TCM, and its possible integration with the modern findings in the area. This paper discusses the basic concepts and types of TCM function networks, along with the methods for building the networks. Using the prescription of Promoting Blood Circulation and Removing Blood Stasis as an example, authors examine the possible applications of TCM function networks. The concept and techniques discussed in the paper create a ground for the further development of both TCM theories and practices.
