Treatment of chronic hepatitis B（CHB） has markedly improved in recent years due to the development of direct-acting antiviral agents. According to some problems in clinical practice, such as suboptimal response and drug resistance, the indications of antiviral treatment, primary drug choices and endpoints of therapy have been updated and revised. Moreover, some new drugs are being developed to target different mechanisms. This review focuses on the advances and new strategies for the treatment of CHB.
