Tm3+-doped chalcogenide glasses in Gea0Ga5Se65 and Ge30GasS65 (mol%) system were synthesized by melt-quenching technique. The properties of the glasses including absorption spectra and emission spectra were measured under 800 nm excitation. According to the Judd-Ofelt theory and absorption spectrum, the intensity parameterΩt (t= 2,4,6), the spontaneous radiative transition A, fluorescence branching ratio fl and radiative lifetime rad of Tm3+ were calculated.
