A kind of three-dimensional semi-analytical finite dement method is put forward for the analysis of transverse failure in cross-by laminates. The method can be applied to different shape transverse failure problems. The method has the properties of high efficiency and good precision. When crack expanding problem is studied, a high efficiency semi-analytical matrix perturbation method is put forward. An idiographic crack problem of laminates are performed in the examples, some important conclusions are obtained.
