Through the analysis of the evolutionary trend and the space distribution of the financialinstitution outlets in counties in Shandong Province, the space arrangement of financial institutions has beenoptimized, since 2000, revealing the great achievement of the reform in financial industry; small-andmedium-sized financial institutions are quite eye-catching for the increase in number and the optimizationin distribution have filled the space in county financial service effectively; about the number and type,compared with those in cities, financial institutions in counties are still in an inferior position, but the trendhas been shown towards those in counties. Therefore, measures, such as guiding the space arrangement ofbig- and medium-sized commercial banks, optimizing the stock of financial institutions in counties, andenlarging the increment of local financial institutions should be taken in order to speed up the constructionof financial market in counties.
