In order to solve the problem that the heterogeneous propagation delays of ONUs in long reach pas- sive optical networks （LR-PON） lead to more channel voids, an online partial multi-thread polling （ON-PMTP） algorithm has been proposed, the detailed description of the proposed algorithm and the simula- tion results are given.
