对1992年12月至2005年11月连续13年中国海海区(2°N~39°N,105°E~130°E)ERS-1、ERS-2和QuikSCAT散射计海面风场资料进行插值平均处理,获得了156个月长序列月平均海面风距平资料集,对该资料集进行矢量经验正交函数(Vector EOF)分解,获得了中国海海面距平风场的两个主要经验模态。其距平风场第一模态(VEOF-1)解释了总偏差的72.31%,表现为冬-夏振荡型,反映了中国海海面风场的季风特征;第二模态(VEOF-2)解释了总偏差的10.05%,表现为春-秋振荡型,反映了冬季风与夏季风之间的转换过渡时期的风场特征。
A combination of ERS-1, ERS-2 scatterometer and Quick Scatterometer (QuikSCAT) winds covering the period from December 1992 to November 2005 and the area of 2°N-39°N, 105°E-130°E were analyzed with interpolation and averaging methods and the monthly mean distributions of the sea surface wind field were given. A vector empirical orthogonal function (VEOF) method was employed to study the temporal and spatial patterns. The results indicate that annual cycles dominate the two leading VEOF modes. The first VEOF accounts for 72.31% of the total variance and represents a winter-summer oscillation mode. It reflects the East Asian monsoon features in the China seas. The second VEOF accounts for 10.05% of the total variance and represents a spring-autumn oscillation. It reflects the wind field features during the transition period from the summer monsoon to the winter monsoon or from the winter monsoon to the summer monsoon.
